PREDICAMENT                                                                     PRONOUNCEMENT

THE ROAD IS GETTING ROUGH                                           LORD, I TRUST YOU!

THE GOING IS GETTING TOUGH                                          LORD, I TRUST YOU!

MY SOUL IS SAD                                                                    LORD, I TRUST YOU!

THE STORMS OF LIFE ARE RAGING                                    LORD, I TRUST YOU!

THE HILLS ARE BECOMING HARD TO CLIMB                    LORD, I TRUST YOU!

How can I become a God chaser?

1. I must know WHAT to run from and know WHO to run to (v.11)

My WHO never changes – I need to know WHO to run to…

Yet, sometimes my running from might be a:

  • WHAT on Monday
  • WHO on Wednesday
  • WHERE on Friday
  • WHEN on Saturday night

Yet, regardless of the thing I am running from – I better know WHO to run to!

1. Run From Pride.                6:3-4

2. Run From Anger.               6:4-5

3. Run From Ambition.          6:6-8

4. Run From Greed.               6:9-10

The Greek verb, pheugo, from which we get the English fugitive.

We are fugitives. We are a running man. We are running relentlessly.

We are running all the time. We are fleeing all the time.

Present Imperative indicates a continuing action!

“Keep on fleeing these things; make it a habit, a lifestyle.”
